What can be said about ‘the man’? Tserko was amazing in every way. The above pictures were taken when Tserko was 10 years old.

With a father like Alaskans Blackjack of Anadyr there were some expectations to live up to and he certainly exceeded them.

Tserko had awesome manners in all situations - a real gentleman. He was serious in harness, a tireless leader whose limits were not found over the distances in this country. He was dependable and consistent. Nothing rattled him and he could be placed in any position with any dog.

Sadly we lost Tserko recently to a number of complications. His strength and fighting spirit was with him until the end and he will never, ever be forgotten.

Some words from friends of Tserko's:

We are so sorry to hear of Tserko's passing. We sure will remember him as one of the best dogs to grace these shores.

On paper he was good, but to see him working in harness was something else. I was lucky enough to have been able to see him first hand as part of my distance team, his work ethic and effortless movement was so impressive.

Tserko's temperament always seemed easy going and not pushy. Along with this and his other qualities is why we wanted him to sire our litter andwe have never looked back.

Tserko you will always be remembered as a class act.

Dear Nat,

We were so sorry to hear about Tserko passing away.

We thank you so much for allowing us to have had Tserko live with us for a while. He was a truly wonderful dog, and taught us so much about racing dogs. He introduced our kennel to the ethics of a hard working, strong and powerful sled-dog. Without him, our team would still not have learnt to power up-hills. He was placid natured, and had a wonderful temperament. He will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We loved him like one of our own dogs. Andrew even said last night that Tserko is second only to Sabre for him.

Love from Nat, Andrew, Taylor, Cameron Colvin and all our four legged friends, especially Ziggy.
